So I’m doing a search, trying to find some safety data
sheets and all these paid advertising pops up saying ( free msds ). Every search engine wants to get in on this. So I start
clicking these ads and find that none of them actually have any material safety
data sheets at all. Just a gimmick to get you to go to that particular search
engine that’s no better than the next. And I’ve tried them all with the same
results except one that actually worked.
I can’t understand all the hype because all material safety
data sheets are free. The products manufacturer must supply the user with a
safety data sheet… Period. Distributers of the product is also required to
supply msds or sds sheets. Shipping companies need them, employers need them,
and emergency first responders need them. Everyone gets them for free… Nobody
pays for them.
I do see some services that sell access to msds databases,
sell msds software, or even msds books. But those are services, they don’t
actually sell msds sheets, they sell you a service. So why all this (free msds)advertising on the internet?
I just don’t get it.
While I’m in the middle of my rant, I do want to tell you
about a (free msds) service that can
probably help you out if you’re searching for msds and sds sheets. This is so
cool, on so many different levels, I don’t even know where to begin.
Let’s start with the “Totally Awesome MSDS Search”. I’ll
just say this, I’ve tried all of the so called online msds search engines, and
most of them are just bull. This one really works. If you go to the big “G” and
search for crude oil msds you’ll get about one hundred and fifty thousand hits.
The same quarry in the “Totally Awesome MSDS Search” brings back only about
twenty thousand, and the whole first page are safety data sheets that you can
actually use.
Next up is the msds database . It’s also awesome. They made
it up of all the most common safety data sheets that were searched for on the
website for the past few years. So you have a great chance of finding what
you’re looking for here. The database is growing daily so who knows how many
they have now.
If you want a place to store your msds so you can deploy
them to your customers, shipping agents or employees you can get that here too.
And it’s free! Really, it’s free! Paid for by the advertisers. So now (free msds) can actually collide in the
same sentence and not make me feel like I’m getting took.
It’s really easy to find msds sheets to print, view or
download, set up a user account, add safety data sheets to the database, email
the msds sheets to your customers. You name it and you can do it here, and it’s
all free.
So check out MsdsDigital.com set up a user account and get a
(free msds) binder while you’re at
it.
